Safeguarding Statement

“Whilst local authorities play a lead role, safeguarding children and protecting them from harm is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and families has a role to play.” Working Together to Safeguard Children (HM Government 2015).

Owing to its duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of children who are its pupils, and prevent radicalisation and extremism, Broadhurst has put in place a Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Procedures. The school may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.
