Broadhurst School welcomes children from either January or September following their second birthday, offering a nurturing environment where every child is known, valued and supported from the very start.
Nursery Life
Our Classes
Little Learners is for children who turn 2 between September and December and join us in the January intake, with a school day running from 8:30am to 3:00pm.
Nursery is for children aged 2 to 3, with a school day running from 8:30am to 3:00pm.
Pre-Reception is for children aged 3 to 4, with a slightly extended day from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Children spend each full year with the same class teacher and teaching assistant, allowing deep, trusting relationships to form and friendships to flourish naturally.
The School Day
Throughout the day, children take part in a wide range of activities, from Phonics and Mathematics to story time and the creative arts. Every child also participates in weekly Music, Drama and Yoga sessions, developing rhythm and percussion skills, imaginative expression and storytelling, and mindfulness and self-regulation techniques.
Children enjoy two garden sessions each day, providing fresh air, outdoor play and physical activity. The garden is also home to weekly PE lessons, supporting both fine and gross motor development and overall wellbeing.
Breakfast Club and After-School Care
We offer a Breakfast Club from 8:00am, and after-school care running until 5:30pm – both provided by our own teaching staff, so children remain in familiar, caring hands throughout the day.
