Widely regarded as one of London’s top nursery schools, Broadhurst offers an exclusive early learning experience for children aged 2 to 4 years. Founded in 1958, we bring over six decades of early years excellence to North London families. Through a bespoke, accelerated curriculum and an exceptional record of 4+ success, we prepare children for the next stage in their educational journey and beyond.

Why Broadhurst?

Outstanding 4+ Results: Broadhurst children have consistently received offers from many of London’s leading pre-prep and prep schools, including Highgate, The Hall, Channing, South Hampstead Junior School, NLCS, UCS, and others. Each child is individually supported through the highly competitive 4+ assessment process, with expert guidance provided at every stage.

Bespoke Accelerated Curriculum: Our tailored curriculum is designed to challenge and inspire. We help children reach their full potential in core academic areas such as phonics, early reading, mathematics, and language.  At the same time, we ensure plenty of opportunity for creative exploration, outdoor play, and imaginative discovery – nurturing well-rounded, confident learners.

Nurturing Community: We foster a warm, welcoming community where children feel secure, valued, and motivated to thrive. Our calm and purposeful classrooms support the development of emotional intelligence, self-confidence, good manners, and a strong sense of respect for others.

Exceptional Wraparound Care: Our flexible care options support busy families throughout the day. Morning care is available from 8:15 am, and our afternoon wraparound programme runs until 6:00 pm. Children can enjoy a variety of afterschool clubs, including Spanish, Ballet, Science, Tarka and others.

A Few Words from Our Families

Admissions Process

Parents wishing to register for a place are asked to complete a registration form and attend a tour and meeting with the Headteacher. Places are offered following the visit and are allocated on a first come, first served basis, with consideration also given to the child’s month of birth. We strongly recommend registering well in advance to secure a place, as we operate waiting lists. However, places do occasionally become available closer to the start of the academic year, so we encourage families to get in touch even if applying later.
