Travelling to and from school
Children are encouraged, where possible, to walk, scooter or cycle to school. There is provision at school for bicycles, buggies and scooters. For those living further afield, car sharing (including use of a Taxi) and the use of public transport is promoted.
Where a car must be used, all parents are asked to drive only part of the way, park away from the school and walk the rest of the way (park and walk). Parking restrictions operate between 8am and 10pm, from Monday to Saturday. There are very few Pay and Display bays available in the school vicinity and parents are requested not to park in Greencroft Gardens.
For morning drop offs in the Spring and Summer terms, parents may let their child out of the car outside the school, to be accompanied into the building by another parent on a rota system (stop and drop).
The school supports the Camden Schools Travel Plan which encourages families to develop environmentally friendly journeys to school. This not only increases the fitness of our pupils but also improves the local environment.
We are pleased to have received a Silver award from Transport for London in 2016 in recognition of our achievement in active and safer travel initiatives.
